One of the benefits of Ritual is that orders are prepared immediately after being accepted. For this reason, orders often cannot be cancelled, as the restaurant has been notified and has started preparing the food.
Here are some steps you can take if you placed an extra order:
1. Call the restaurant where you placed the order as soon as possible and cancel the order. You can find their phone number on your order receipt in-app. If you have arrived in-store, kindly notify the restaurant staff about your order cancellation request.
2. If they agree to cancel the order, please let us know by writing in with details and attach a screenshot of the call log showing the time of the cancellation call.
3. As best practice, before placing an order, it's always helpful to check the cart and ensure that the right item is added and the right location is chosen.
Please understand that cancellations can be challenging due to our system, which prepares orders as soon as they are accepted. For this reason, we may not be able to cancel orders once food preparation has begun. However, there is a cancellation button available in the app for a short period to cancel your order.
